Arrowsmith Hydrogen Plant – Export

Located in the same tenement as Arrowsmith Domestic, the Arrowsmith Export builds upon the foundation set by its predecessor. The project aims to satisfy rapidly growing demand of clean energy internationally, targeting Asia Pacific region.

Arrowsmith Export will increase liquid hydrogen production by up to 248 tonnes per day or an equivalent of 1,200 tonnes per day of Ammonia. It is anticipated that an addition of 600MW of electrolysis, 563MW of solar, 1,200MW of wind and 80MW of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will be required. Grid connection will be upgraded to accommodate 850MW of electricity import / export.

Arrowsmith Export will eliminate up to 2,084,688 tonnes of CO2 per annum.

The large-scale increase in liquid hydrogen / ammonia production will further support Australia’s transition away from fossil fuels and contribute to establishing Australia as one of the global leaders in clean energy production and export.
